The IDS Strategic Quota Watch (SQW) is an integrated quota management service combining the most up-to-date statistical data available for textile and apparel imports with the services of a highly experienced and professional staff who offer support, insights and advice on the day-to-day operations of the U.S. textile program. SQW provides clients with the essential information necessary to evaluate sourcing options, make decisions and implement corporate import strategies.

SQW includes:

•  Country-by-country statistical analysis of quota entries, based on U.S. Customs data from the ports. Information includes the Quota Limit, Customs Charges, Quota Fill Rate and Percent Change from the Previous Week and the Current Quota Balance Remaining. 

• Updates describing recent events and government actions affecting U.S. imports;

• Current Embargo Report;

• Potential Embargo Report, including a mathematical projection of when an embargo might occur;

• Call Action Summary, listing all U.S. requests for new quotas;

• Potential Call Action summary, listing all products which IDS believes may be targets for new quota restraints.

• Database containing U.S. Customs Administrative Messages affecting Textile and Apparel imports.
