Trump Directs USTR To Impose Tariffs on $200 Billion of Imports from China, Starting September 24th

On September 17, President Trump announced that he directed the U.S. Trade Representative to proceed with placing additional tariffs on $200 billion of imports from China. The tariffs will take effect on Monday, September 24, and are set at 10 percent through the end of 2018. Beginning January 1, the tariffs will increase to 25 percent.
